VO + PFC activeTrusted by commercial & industrial sites across
The problem
Most UK commercial sites overpay by 5-20%, and most don't know it.
Three invisible cost drivers sit on almost every half-hourly invoice. Each one is fixable, often inside three years, often with no capex.
Average UK grid voltage
Most equipment is designed to run optimally at 220V. The 22V difference becomes wasted heat, shorter motor life and a higher bill, month after month.
Typical commercial power factor
Anything below 0.95 means you're paying reactive-power penalties on every invoice. We've seen single sites pay £14,000+ a year for nothing.
What you should pay upfront
Lease, PPA and Energy-as-a-Service routes mean we install at our cost. You pay only from the savings we generate, and only if we generate them.
What we do
One partner, four ways to cut your energy spend.
Every site is different, so every Envirohub proposal blends the technologies that pay back fastest for your specific load profile.
Voltage Optimisation
5-20% off your bill · ~2yr payback · financing available
UK grid voltage averages 242V. Most equipment runs optimally at 220V. We install a transformer-based VO unit that brings your supply down to its sweet spot with zero disruption.
Get a VO assessment →Power Factor Correction
Eliminate reactive power penalties
Motors, compressors and HVAC drag your power factor below 0.95, triggering charges for reactive power you can't use. Our capacitor banks correct this at source, often saving £10,000+ per year with no operational changes.
Calculate your PFC savings →Commercial Solar PV
Generate your own electricity
Solar and VO work well together. VO reduces consumption while solar generates supply. Via our partner Centreco, we design and install commercial solar systems that stack with existing VO and PFC.
Explore solar options →Voltage Stabilisation
Protect sensitive equipment
Grid spikes, sags and brownouts damage sensitive equipment and cause costly downtime. Automatic Voltage Regulators and Static Voltage Stabilisers absorb fluctuations before they reach your plant.

We work across a wide range of UK industries.
If your business spends £100,000+ per year on energy and runs motors, HVAC, refrigeration, or heavy equipment, we can almost certainly reduce your bill.
How it works
From first call to first savings, in four steps.
You'll know your savings figure before a single piece of equipment is ordered.
Free Site Assessment
Our engineers analyse 12 months of your meter data and consumption profile. No cost, no commitment. Typically 48-72 hours from receiving your bills.
Detailed Proposal
You receive a site-specific proposal with equipment cost, projected annual saving (£), payback period, and carbon reduction. All backed by our installation partner EnergyAce.
Installation
Equipment is installed during a planned maintenance window, typically a half-day. Zero operational disruption. Our team installs, commissions, and confirms savings are live before leaving.
Ongoing Monitoring
Remote monitoring confirms savings month-on-month. You receive regular reports showing kWh saved, £ saved, and CO2e avoided, ready for your ESG or sustainability reporting.
Funding options
Zero upfront cost is the norm, not the exception.
Over 70% of our 2025 clients chose a route that required no capital expenditure on day one.
Energy-as-a-Service
We fund the installation. You pay a monthly fee from the savings generated.
- No capital expenditure required
- Savings guaranteed contractually
- Monthly fee less than monthly saving
- Equipment ownership transfers to you
Operating Lease
Fixed monthly payments spread over 3-5 years, structured as an operating expense.
- Off balance sheet (operating expense)
- Fixed monthly cost, no surprises
- Tax-deductible lease payments
- Option to purchase at end of term
Direct Purchase
Buy the equipment outright for maximum long-term savings and full ownership from day one.
- Highest long-term return
- Asset on your balance sheet
- Enhanced Capital Allowance eligible
- No ongoing finance costs
About Envirohub
Energy efficiency experts who speak business.
We're commercial advisors who understand energy deeply. We translate technical savings into boardroom language: payback periods, ROI, and ESG impact.
Our technical partners
All site surveys, proposals, equipment supply and installation are delivered by our engineering partner EnergyAce. Commercial solar is delivered via Centreco.
Common questions
Everything you need to know before saying yes.
What size of business do you typically work with?
Our sweet spot is businesses spending £100,000 or more per year on electricity. This is typically where VO and PFC generate savings large enough to provide a compelling ROI within 2-3 years. We work across manufacturing, food production, hospitality, healthcare, education, and more.
How disruptive is the installation?
Minimal. Our engineering partner EnergyAce plans installations around your operational schedule, typically a planned maintenance window. There's a brief planned power-down (usually 1-2 hours) to connect the equipment, after which your site operates normally, just more efficiently.
How are the savings measured and verified?
We use independently verified half-hourly meter data, comparing like-for-like periods pre and post-installation. Every saving figure we quote in proposals is based on this methodology. You'll have full access to monitoring data.
What happens if the savings don't materialise?
On Energy-as-a-Service contracts, your monthly payment is structured to be lower than your monthly saving, so if savings are below projection, your payment adjusts accordingly. We stand behind our proposals.
Is voltage optimisation suitable for every site?
Not always, and we'll tell you upfront. VO works best on sites with resistive and inductive loads (motors, HVAC, lighting, refrigeration). That's why our assessment analyses your specific load profile before we propose anything.
Do you offer an introducer programme?
Yes. If you know businesses that spend £100k+ on electricity, our introducer programme pays 25% of Envirohub's commission on every completed installation. Contact us for details.
How long does it take from first contact to installation?
Typically 4-8 weeks from initial contact to installation. The assessment takes 48-72 hours once we have your meter data. Equipment lead times are around 2-4 weeks. We work to your timeline.
